Dear Buyer:

The sweetgrass may be bruised just a bit from shipping but it is NOT CLIPPED or cut. Please put it in soil mixed with some sand if possible "RIGHT AWAY" !!!

Give it a good watering and then put it in a partly shady LITTLE sun to begin with place, add more sun as it grows stronger and takes to your earth and soil choice.

NO HARDPAN SOILS!

Please do not put it in the HOT BLAZING SUN !!!

It needs to be KEPT MOIST and getting SUN but not all day HOT SUN!!!

              PART SHADE 3/4 to 1/2 sun is better for it.

In the winter it will DIE BACK COMPLETELY and you might wonder WHERE it went.

             DON'T PANIC that you have lost it, as we did !

                                    It is there in the dirt.

Put it in a SHALLOW "WIDE" with ROOM TO GROW SIDEWAYS OUTWARD

SWEETGRASS is a ROOT SPREADER SIDEWAYS AND OUTWARD!

It will GROW OUT to the sides so you need about 4 to 7 inches or more of your choice of DEPTH but MORE SIDE to GROW room. I emphasize SIDE ROOM TO GROW!

I am sure you will be happy with this when it GROWS "OUT" sideways and it SPREADS so keep THAT in mind! Pleaes give it LOTS of ROOM to SPREAD if you want more next season. Some small shoots might still come up and grow long between now and October or November depending on YOUR WEATHER. It dies back but IT COMES BACK so DON'T PANIC if you think you've lost it. AS it grows out to the sides of your containers, REPOT IT so it can SPREAD MORE !
